Sump Pumps
Sump pumps are very important in basements and even more important in crawl spaces. The reas for me saying that is because the moisture in a crawl space can not always be seen. It is usually lying just under a dry layer of dirt where it is hiding from our view but doing what water is needed for. Supplying mold and insects life giving energy. In a crawl space there is less air to dilute it and no layer of concrete to slow it down. Did you know that mold eats wood? Wood is what the floor is made of above the crawl space floor. Mold settles there on the floor joists turning them to powder. What else can I say? You have to lower the humidity and along with all the other procedures we do a sump pump goes a long way to doing that.
Our technical crawl space sump pump info is on the plumbinigmi.com web site. So go over there for finer points on pumps or give me a call at 248 522 1516
